East Meets West — in Chiang Mai
Hosted by Liz Doyle & Ali Valdez
Space is Extremely Limited for this Intimate Gathering– sign up available NOW!

$750 non-refundable deposits can be arranged at: info@sattvayogaonline.com

Join Liz Doyle and Ali Valdez for an inspirational yoga retreat and journey to the beautiful and intriguing East, touring parts of Northwest Thailand, playing with the elephants, lighting lanterns and engaging in a variety of daily yoga practice: Tripsichore, Universal, Yin, and Vinyasa with one day off to roam, explore, lounge by the pool, visit historical Chaing-Mai, or spend pampered at the spa.

Three delicious whole-foods based vegetarian meals with seafood option, snacks and refreshments throughout the day will be provided for our guests.

With the in-depth focus of a yoga retreat, the extended practices and the 1:1 attention that only this type of environment provides, you’ll leave this cultural paradise with tangible progress in your physical practice, and compelling insights to develop inner exploration and return home relaxed and rejuvenated. We will be focusing on dynamics and influences of Southeastern Asia on Yoga studies in myth, movement, philosophy and culture. There will be ample time during the day to experience and explore the surrounding area as you wish.

Why November? We selected these special dates to coincide with Loy Krathong, a special full moon holiday that is celebrated in the North. Join thousands in a joyful evening signified by the lighting and releasing of lanterns. We are also spending a day at the world-famous Elephant rehabilitation center where you can observe or get in the river and interact with Earth’s gentlest giants in a compassionate, non-harming way.

$1,888 price includes all meals, yoga and accommodations.
Based on shared occupancy. $488 uplift on single occupancy.Retreat begins with opening circle followed by dinner 11/25th and ends with morning practice, closing circle and breakfast 12/2. Excursions covered include: Loy Krathong, Elephant Reserve and connections to and from Chiang-Mai (CNX) airport.

Module #2: Going Beyond the Asana- Building the Perfect Class
Learn how to incorporate the multi-faceted components of yoga into a well-defined compelling class experience, including sequencing for maximum effect and integration of pranayama, narrative, mudras, chakras and meditation.  Give your student more than just a rote sequence; give them the true gift of yoga.  (Taught by Ali Valdez 6/8-6/10)

Module #3: Practical Application of Pranayama
Learn the methods and benefits of pranayama and how to incorporate it into your practice and classes.  Pranayama is very helpful to prepare for meditation and inner practices, and you'll also learn to make pranayama and bandha useful in asana.
